Metadata that keeps evidence trustworthy

Revision, part, project, supplier, source location and lifecycle phase are the minimum fields that let a system and a reviewer tell current evidence from superseded evidence.

Without these fields, a fluent answer can be accurate about the wrong revision or the wrong project, and no one will notice until a late-stage review.

Metadata discipline is a data-governance task, not an AI task; it pays off even without any AI in the process.

PUT THIS INTO PRACTICE

  1. 01Define the minimum metadata schema before ingestion.
  2. 02Reject or flag evidence missing required metadata.
  3. 03Audit metadata completeness on a schedule.
